Welcome to Creston

                                         About Us

Welcome to Creston, a place where the beauty of nature intertwines with the warmth of a close-knit community. We are a low-density gated community of acreage homesites nestled among the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Our community has extensive acreage of common areas, including gorgeous waterfalls, hiking trails, and pocket parks providing a feeling of openness and freedom, offering a comforting retreat from the hustle bustle of city life.

Creston sets itself apart from other communities as it is spread thoughtfully across an 1100-acre mountaintop property of which 500 acres are formally in conservancy. Amongst the 1100 acres are 135 homesites nestled among the native flora, ensuring a harmonious blend of homes and nature. Quality takes precedence over quantity, unlike many comparable subdivisions that prioritize maximizing profits. With over 100 lots sold our community today includes 60 completed homes with a steady growth of new construction. We are a community comprised of both part time residents and about 40 happy full-time families.

Creston is not just a beautiful place to live, but is also a vibrant community of neighbors who eagerly welcome you. Our residents take pride in their diverse creative interests, active lifestyles, enduring friendships, and strong sense of community. A recent visitor described Creston as “a gated community that doesn’t believe in gates”. Whether you enjoy hiking, wine tastings, yoga, or volunteering, there's a social group or gathering that shares your passion. The community at Creston is where lasting memories are created and cherished.

To complement its natural beauty and wonderful neighbors Creston’s other amenities include: a gazebo with a firepit, a playground for children, multiple mountain overlooks, a dog park, eight miles of hiking trails, twelve miles of paved roads, a mountain top Community Center, and to help keep you connected high-speed fiber optic internet service provided by Spectrum.

Located just 9 miles from the charming town of Black Mountain and a short 15-mile  drive from the vibrant city of Asheville, Creston provides the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. When it comes to the essential services you need, neighboring towns like Black Mountain and Old Fort provide a welcoming small-town atmosphere. You' ll find everything you require while savoring the charm of mountain hometowns.

The Creston lifestyle awaits you. Come and discover the joy of living in this remarkable mountain retreat.
