Smoke Detector Recall!

Kidde, the manufacturer of smoke detectors, has announced the recall of two models of their products. Specifically, approximately 450,000 units of dual-sensor models PI2010 and PI9010 are being recalled. While the particular units in question were only sold from September 2016 through January 2018, it is possible that some Creston homes may be equipped with the problem devices. It would be wise for all readers of this message to inspect any Kidde brand smoke detectors they may own, compare them against the recalled product information found here, and if an affected device is found, contact Kidde for a no-cost replacement.
