Restaurants

The Straightaway Cafe is the closest dining establishment to Creston, being only about 2 miles from our front gate. It sits back from Rte. 9 just north of the junction of Crooked Creek Rd. Opened in April, 2009, by locals Ray and Caroline Botham, it is a
very friendly and inviting place with inside and outside seating and an attached pub. There is good food for a modest price from a new eclectic menu (you have to try a Rayburger with lettuce, onions, tomato, cheese, fried egg and beets; throw in a few jalapenos. Fantastic!), great service and a good selection of wines and bottled and draft beers. Every Friday and Saturday - and occasionally other days - there is live music performed by local musicians in the restaurant or - in the warmer months - out on the deck. The Straightaway has free wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi). Come by car, motorcycle, bike, dune buggy, horse or on foot and support our very own ‘local’.

The Artisan is a new coffee and wine bar located in Cheshire Village. It has a suite of coffees, an extensive wine menu and an assortment of domestic and imported beers.
It also offers numerous pastries and other baked goods, appetizers, deserts and a ‘create your own’ sandwich menu. There is a variety of very comfortable seating options inside and seating outdoors as well. The Artisan also offers free Wi-Fi service.
